For over 30 years Dr. Bray has used the YWAM Prayer and Planning Diary as a way to stay on track with his personal piety and as a prayer guide for the whole team. "Next to the Bible, this is the most life-changing devotional book I have ever used," says Dr. Bray. "It takes you right into the heart of Jesus for the lost world-it is like walking with God. $50,000 Challenge Grant Will Double Your Gift Impact!
By Dr. Bill Bray CHARLOTTESVILLE – The Brays and CIS have received the largest single financial challenge grant in the history of their ministry, just as Dr. Bray has accepted a new call to reach overseas students in the USA. The $50,000 challenge grant will do a lot to help launch their expanded outreach to indigenous missions as current supporters respond and match it. “All I can say is PRAISE THE LORD because this is an important and strategic promise of help at a critical moment in our history,” says Dr. Bray. A mission-minded Christian philanthropist has offered the $50,000 matching challenge grant to supporters of the Bray missionary family as an incentive to help the Brays get started with their new ministry at the Overseas Students Mission headquarters in Virginia. For details, go the “GIVE” tab on the homepage of the Bray’s website, www.bray-missionaries.org The challenge will only be disbursed as designated support gifts come in to match it, but it will stand until it is matched or the end of the year. In the first month of the challenge, March, the secret giver deposited the first matching gift of $1000! “We believe that this new Challenge Grant will be used of God to help raise the finances needed for our ministry this spring and throughout the dog days of summer when missions giving tends to dip,” explained Bill Bray. “We and our Board are motivated to spread the word to everyone who cares about the our family and the young students we are reaching—please pray and work with us to match this gift quickly! This is something to take to your church missions committee, prayer group or Sunday School class since it is a great project.” “If you have been looking for a way to multiply the impact of your giving for Christ in the spring and summer months, then here it is!” The matching grant is urgently needed for the Bray Family Missionary support account, and the Brays are very willing to come and present the challenge of their work at local churches and groups. Call 434-295-6488 or email bray.william@gmail.com for details. To give online go to the “Click and Pledge” option at the bottom of the home page at www.bray-missionaries.org Designate your offering or gift to Bray Family Support and it will be credited to the Matching Fund challenge.
