Missionaries Need Help in C'ville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – Dr. Bill and Ivy Bray, who recently returned to Virginia after nearly three years serving global missions from a base in Georgia, are urgently in need of household goods and office equipment.

“We must equip ourselves as quickly as possible to get up to speed providing services to frontline outreaches around the world,” explains Dr. Bray. He currently is helping projects to help widows and orphans in Columbia, Malawi, Philippines and South Africa.

Churches or individuals who want to help with donations to Christ’s work may contact Ivy or Bill at 434-227-0811 or e-mail them at wtbray@hotmail.com Tax-receipts can be issued for cash support and certain “gifts in kind” that qualify.

Urgently needed office equipment includes: (1) a personal computer; (2) office and other professional software; (3) three posture chairs; (4) floor mats; (5) two computer work stations; (6) credenzas, filing cabinets and shelves; (6) book table items.

Household goods most urgently needed include: (1) two adult single beds with box springs and mattresses; (2) automobiles including a family van or SUV; (3) home repair items; (4) a chest of drawers; and (5) a heavy-duty, wheeled trash can.

Financial help is also needed for travel expenses for the Brays and seed grants to the native missionaries whom the Brays are helping on their four overseas missions this year. Dr. Bray has been helping indigenous churches and missions flourish around the world since he began his full-time communications and development ministry in 1967.

This year, the couple celebrates 25 years of missionary service together at a Silver Anniversary service in Bruton Parish, Williamsburg.
