Honor Ivy Bray December 21!
WILLIAMSBURG – Bill Bray and the mission team will honor our “first lady” with a special Birthday Party here on the night of December 21. It will begin with a reception starting at 5:30 pm at Governor’s Green. To r.s.v.p. please call Bill at 434-227-0811. “This is a special birthday for Ivy,” says Bill. “We need to make it her most memorable ever. In many traditional Asian cultures, the fifth 12-year cycle in life is considered the most special for any mother, queen or any woman in leadership. It honors her as a matriarch and she certainly has earned the double honor!” This is also the first night of our 2009 Colonial Christmas outreach and so it is special in two ways. After the reception and birthday cake, we will have an “American Share” dinner party at 8 pm in a special restaurant. It will be a night of fun, well-deserved tributes and sharing in Christian fellowship. ANA 2009 Christmas Wish List Available
CHARLOTTESVILLE – Friends and supporters of the mission can distribute a special “Christmas Wish List” as a guide to holiday giving for missionaries of OSM, CIS and others in the All Nations Alliance. ABUJA – Newly appointed OSM missionary Fidelis Iyobote is wrapping up his survey mission to the Niger Delta and Sao Tome, and hopes to be home for Christmas. A total of $2,200 is needed to set up his headquarters office in Central West Africa and to purchase his airfare back to the USA. Emergency contributions should be sent to Overseas Students Mission, 3045-A Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Fidelis left on the survey trip to Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Cameroon and Sao Tome in June with only “$20 in his pocket and praise on his lips” says Bill Bray. “This was a real step of faith and I don’t believe the Lord will let his servant down!” Once home, he hopes to be doing extensive deputation work to raise support and present the vision at the NRB Convention in Nashville during February. CHARLOTTESVILLE – After consultation with staff and trusted advisors, Bill Bray is seeking a part-time administrative assistant for the Charlottesville offices of OSM. Applicants should contact bray.william@gmail.com for details. It is a faith missionary position and pastors are asked to consider appointing candidates from their church mission’s budgets. “This has been a long-time coming. From the beginning, there was a feeling that this is the next position to fill – but recent events have confirmed that this is what is needed urgently right now.” “We need an anchor person who is called of God for this work,” says Bray. “It has to be someone very sharp, professional and very good with people. We need someone who can handle the day to day affairs of the mission faithfully with minimum supervision.” |
