CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (4-21-09) – President Bill Bray of the Overseas Students Mission has rescheduled his "Welcome the World" vision tour for Georgia and the mid-south to fall, 2009.
"We are consulting with pastors, mission leaders and supporters to determine the best dates," said Bray. He urged pastors and leaders to call 434-295-6488 as soon as possible to schedule conferences, meetings, retreats. The new tour window will run from September 23 to October 19.
The "Welcome the World Tour" shows mission-minded Christians how they can reach the world without going overseas. It challenges churches to reach the 623,000 international students now in the United States.
The new dates will allow time, says Bray, for church groups to host international students at Thanksgiving and Christmas events, and to "gear up" for the 2010-2020 Decade of the International Student beginning on New Year’s Day.
Dr. Bill Bray has developed indigenous missions since 1966, traveling to over 65 countries on consulting and media assignments. He has co-authored 11 books on Christian missions and is a popular conference and retreat speaker. He is a frequent contributor to Assist News. "My biggest personal burden now," he says, "is to help locate the leaders of the next generation and link them to older believers who will be able to mentor or enable them to transform their nations."
Tax-deductible contributions for the support of Bill & Ivy's Missionary Ministry may be given online, or should be sent to CIS, INC. MISSIONS, P.O. Box 6511, Charlottesville, VA 22906. THANK YOU.
