ASSIST News Service (ANS) - PO Box 609, Lake Forest, CA 92609-0609 USA Thursday, October 23, 2008 'Go See Fireproof!' Christian Film Critic Ted Baehr Encourages Everyone To See "Fireproof" In Theaters Before It's Too Late For Immediate Release HOLLYWOOD, CA (ANS) -- Dr. Ted Baehr, Christian film critic and founder of the Christian Film & Christian Television Commission and Movieguide®: A Family Guide to Movies, is encouraging everyone to see the movie "Fireproof" before it leaves theaters. "Fireproof" has won praise from Dr. Baehr, who called it, "An incredibly gripping, compelling, heartrending, transformation story." Dr. Baehr has given it 4 out of 4 stars for quality and a +4 for acceptability, the highest Movieguide® ratings possible. "It is not often that a movie is both well made and filled with such a positive message of faith and commitment to marriage. Married or single, a person of faith or not, this movie will challenge you and inspire you," Dr. Baehr says. In a time when marriage is under attack and many movies glorify casual sex outside of marriage, Dr. Baehr believes that "Fireproof" is what our culture needs right now. "There have been reports of marriages being impacted and restored after seeing this movie," Dr. Baehr noted. "Read our review for yourself at movieguide.org and get out this weekend to support this worthwhile movie," Dr. Baehr encourages. An update on the movie can be found at http://fireproofthemovie.com/newsletters/movieguide/. The Christian Film & Television Commission® and its family guide to movies, Movieguide® (www.movieguide.org), is an international non-profit ministry dedicated to "redeeming the values of the entertainment industry by influencing industry executives and by informing and equipping the public about the influence of the entertainment media." Its Annual Faith & Values Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry, which has led in recent years to a great increase in family movies and movies with positive Christian references, will be celebrating its 17th year on Feb. 11, 2009 in Beverly Hills at a celebrity-profuse, televised awards show.
