Praise The Spirit Of Judgment And Fire! We praise you for all those who have thrown down their weapons and put aside their hatred in order to follow you and experience a changed life of hope. AMEN.

Spirit Of Judgment And Fire, we pray that you will turn the hearts of those who continue to persecute us. Help them to understand your love and join us in the challenge to rescue innocent and needy children from the streets. Help us to develop an indigenous communications team and website in India and elsewhere that will address communal tensions with the love and wisdom of Christ. AMEN.

Thank you for praying and supporting us as we serve the Lord here at Hopegivers International. God’s grace is sufficient to meet all our needs and take us through persecution, trials and tribulations.

He is giving us the strength we need to share the vision of what He is doing through Hopegivers International. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Our ministry here involves not just supporting missionary field leaders and aiding the needy children—but also supporting the home office staff and ministry partners who make it possible for the Communications and Development ministry to occur. These include people like our Missionary Field Representative Ron Leonard, our Executive Director and spokesman Michael Glenn, writers like Robby Brumberg—and a host of others who generate the monthly newsletters, news releases, magazines, publications, and websites that proclaim the vision of Hopegivers. Plus of course, Ivy and her staff focus on appreciating and caring for the supporters who make the mission possible through their work in donor relations.

All this is part of sharing our global vision with potential sponsors whose regular gifts will make it possible to accomplish the long-range vision of this mission, rescuing one million abandoned children for Jesus by 2020!

Pray for the big projects we are focusing on this month:

1) HAITI AND AFRICAN MISSION TRIPS: Pray for our work with Robby Brumberg, Ron Leonard, and other staff and volunteers who are raising funds for these short term missions in November and January.

2) CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGNS: Pray for our many end-of-year efforts to reach out to Church Partners, Hope Ministry Partners and all our donors at this time of the year. This is hard, intensive work.

3) TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER PERSONAL BUDGET-SAVING NEEDS: Continue to pray that the Lord will provide a reliable ministry car to use as I travel and speak...and for our second Special Supplementary Support Fund appeal this year. Over $12,000 is needed.

4) LEADERSHIP: Pray daily for Dr. Samuel Thomas and his dad Bishop M.A. Thomas as they suffer for the sake of the Gospel in India; and for all our leadership both here at home in the USA and in Africa and Haiti. This includes our Board of Directors, advisors and special friends.

5) END OF YEAR BUDGET: Pray for the 20,000 plus needy children we are reaching with food, medicine and shelter; and also for our 20,000 plus native missionaries who are leading the work around the world! To meet our 2006 goals, we need $1.1 million by the end of the year. Pray that God will use me and the team to help meet these goals.

6) TRAVEL PLANS: Ivy and I are planning to travel to Virginia twice this month for meetings with friends and supporters. Pray that every need will be met and that God will open doors.

Ivy and I are so thankful for all of you. Your prayers mean so much to us! May our great God continue to use you mightily in the days ahead!

SPIRIT OF CREATION, we pray against illnesses such as tuberculosis, hepatitis and HIV that affect so many of our orphans. Preserve them in good health and help the communications department to motivate those who have to share in their medical needs. AMEN.

--DR. SAMUEL THOMAS INDIA COURT APPEARANCE, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Thursday, October 12 (Wednesday night, American time). Pray that the court will throw out the false charges lodged against him for preaching the Gospel. This is an important request for use in midweek and Wednesday night prayer services tonight.

--HAITI MEDICAL MISSION preparations for Nov. 24-29 short term mission. Please pray for all support to come in for the medical team bringing life-saving medicine to the children there. Over $25,000 is needed this month for Haiti projects.

--RON LEONARD itineration in USA churches. Pray for our faith-missionary field representative as he goes to Michigan this week to present the Million Orphan Vision.
