January 31, 2008 - Networking for the Future

"Prayer Priority" Request for Thursday, January 31, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

LORD OF SABBATH, thank you for the Bray Family Support Team which stands behind this ministry month after month through faithful giving. We especially thank you for the Charlottesville-area supporters who are getting ready for their 35th CIS Anniversary dinner party on February 22 and the Chicagoland supporters who have postponed their celebration from this Sunday until May 18 in Oak Brook. AMEN

OUR LAWGIVER, prosper and bless our supporters at this time and cause them to look with favor on the February newsletter that arrives this week every giver's mailbox. May they have the hand of a ready writer as they sit down to make out their mission offering checks this month. Bless especially those who give larger "First Fruits" offerings to honor your laws as the New Year begins. Meanwhile, help all of us to be mindful of the spiritual warfare that is waging for our souls every day. Especially help Dr. Bray to recognize the Jezebel spirit of our age and defend all on the Support Team from the pagan challenges they face in our culture. Lord, forgive us as individuals and as a nation for turning away from you. Have mercy on us and send the revival we so urgently need. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty" (Luke 1:532-53).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Part of today's prayer request is based on Dr. Bray's Tenth Resolution to battle the effects of the Jezebel Spirit through his life and ministry. To read all of Dr. Bray's 2008 resolutions, visit our website home page under the VIEWS column.

January 29, 2008 - Networking for the Future

"Prayer Priority" Request for Tuesday, January 29, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

MAN OF SORROWS, we thank you for all those media missionaries and potential media missionaries who are helping Dr. Bray grow and develop Christian missions for the new millennium--and we especially thank you for the growing number of friends in Charlottesville who are promising to help us build a new base of ministry to reach out to them from Virginia. AMEN

LORD OF HOSTS, speed our February letters to the homes of friends and prayer partners this week and give these letters great favor. May they all be opened and prayerfully read. May many join CIS ministries and CIS ministry partners in their work for Christ, and give urgently needed financial aid. Equip and establish Ivy in her new home office in Charlottesville through the generous gifts of our CIS support team this week and throughout the month ahead. May donations come in to cover the costs of the Bray's preparations for the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in March. Help the Brays use these donations wisely to network with even more young people and mentor them into your service. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has billed the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty" (Luke 1:52-53).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST FOR 2008 RESOLUTION VIII: The National Religious Broadcasters annual convention each year is a highlight of the year for Dr. Bray and Ivy. It is there that they make connections with old friends and new, and especially make contacts with the upcoming millennial generation of media missionaries. Your daily prayers for this outreach are much needed from now through March.

January 27, 2008 - Pray for Ivy's Growing Ministry of Administration

"Prayer Priority" Request for Sunday, January 27, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

LORD GOD, thank you for the wifely ministry of Ivy Sanchez Bray to Dr. Bray and also for her growing ministry of helps and administrations to various churches, Christian missions, organizations and individuals. We praise you dear Lord for giving her the gift of helps and administrations as well as the energy and zeal to serve you with all her heart, and for giving her the gift of faith in the face of many trials and tests. AMEN

MY MAKER, help Ivy this week as she handles various donor relations details for Christian missions including financial reports, receipting, thank you mailings and all kinds of behind the scenes administration work. Open doors for her and give her and Dr. Bill wisdom about helping in new places and situations. Bless Ivy as she helps to maintain valuable data bases for mission agencies, missionaries, and arranges travel itineraries and mailings to VIP groups. Supply her with the funds needed to cover her living expenses, equipment purchases and software requirements. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty" (Luke 1:52-53).

BACKGROUND ON DIVINIA SANCHEZ BRAY: "Ivy" and Bill celebrated 25 years of marriage and Christian service as a couple last year, 2007. She helps Dr. Bray with his personal needs and our ministry partners with hours of experienced ministry. She uses supernatural gifts from the Holy Spirit as well as skills and knowledge she has gained over the years working with CBN/700 Club, Christian Aid, CIS, Gospel for Asia, World Children's Fund and many other Christian organizations. Since moving back to Charlottesville late last year, she has also taken a strong hand in helping with her boys (Billy and Jon) and Dr. Bill's grandson (Michael) as they complete their educations. Pray for Ivy's strength and faith to remain strong because nothing happens in this ministry without her tireless assistance--for which she gives Christ all the glory!

January 25, 2008 - Aging Honestly in 2008

"Prayer Priority" Request for Friday, January 25, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

GREAT PHYSICIAN, we thank you for the divine health you have given to each of us this day...for clear minds and high energy for the work you have called us to do. We thank you for the faith in the future that you have laid out for our spiritual paths, our families and partners. We especially thank you for the vision and faith you are giving Dr. Bray as he waits upon you daily for Your direction and guidance at this point in his life and missionary ministry. AMEN

OVERCOMER, help Dr. Bray to deal with aging honestly, not ignoring the new problems or opportunities he faces at this special season in his life and ministry. Bless both Bill and Ivy with productive work and supply their needs as they reorganize the ministry this year from their current base in Charlottesville, Virginia. Supply their needs and give them the financial blessings they need to participate in Christian Medi-Share and Restore Ministries. May they be used to help others find health and healing around the world through medical and feeding missions. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "For the mighty one has done great things for me--holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation" (Luke 1:49-50).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUESTS: The directors of CIS have chosen for Dr. Bray and Ivy to participate in Christian Medi-Share in lieu of insurance and Restore Ministries as their frontline coordinators of health services. As a result, the Brays have begun a new diet and health plan in 2008 based on the New Testament idea of sharing medical costs and needs with other believers, and more deligently studying and following the guidance of the scriptures on health matters. The cost of this new health program is averaging about $700-$900 monthly. The Brays exercise almost daily at a local gym and are taking the health challenges of aging very seriously and prayerfully.

January 24, 2008 - Chicago Annual Meeting Postponed Till Spring

"Prayer Priority" Request for Thursday, January 24, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

REFINER, we thank you for the many friends, family and faith partners in Chicago who have supported the Bray Family Ministry in the Philippines, Thailand and around the world. We praise you for over half a century of prayer and support from Chicago Christian leaders. AMEN

MIGHTY ONE, we ask you to especially bless those in Chicago who are actively supporting us at this time with their prayers and financial gifts. We pray for wisdom in setting the date for our next CIS Annual Meeting in Chicago. We pray for Dr. Bill's brother, John Bray, who lives in a group home there and for Dr. David Rhoads who serves on the CIS Board of Directors. We pray for all the remaining members of the family and friends at Moody Bible Institute and in the churches of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "For the Mighty One has done great things for me--holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation" (Luke 1:49-50).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Dr. Bill Bray, who founded CIS, was born and raised in Chicago of missionary parents. His ministry has deep roots in Chicagoland. He received the call for missions at 13 in a Youth for Christ summer camp for high school Bible club leaders near Green Lake, Wisconsin. He got the call to India while a student a Moody Bible Institute and often attends Founder's Week meetings in Chicago at this time of the year. Individuals and local church partners in Chicago provided the backbone of early support for Dr. Bray and the Christian Information Service. In fact, CIS remains a registered Illinois non-profit corporation. A small but growing number of supporters in Chicago are critical to the success of this mission. Many of them are among the Filipino-American community in Chicago. Laura Parker-Brown is voluntary chair of the Annual Meeting there which has been postponed until April or May, 2008. Pray for good attendance when the meeting is expected to be held in April or May, and for wisdom in setting the date.

January 22, 2008 - List and Letter Service Deadlines This Week

"Prayer Priority" Request for Tuesday, January 22, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD for the grace of Joseph which you are giving Christians and Dalits in India to love their enemies in the face of growing persecution and violence. AMEN

PROPHET MIGHTY IN WORD AND DEED, help us all to welcome and accept correction, even when it comes from the unjust, and help the Christians of India and the throughout the Muslim world today who are being persecuted to love their enemies and do good to those who abuse them. Help Dr. Bray and the CIS Team as they prepare a proposal to speak up and protest the rape, killing and other violence against Dalits and Dalit Christians in India. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "For the Mighty One has done great things for me--holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation" (Luke 1:49-50).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S REQUEST: Dr. Bray is in an unusual situation now and is free to speak out on the atrocities in India for the first time in many years. This may be the time for him to act. Pray for wisdom, finances, and support to launch an outreach on behalf of the persecuted Indian believers.

January 21, 2008 - List and Letter Service Deadlines This Week

"Prayer Priority" Request for Monday, January 21, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

SCEPTRE, PURIFIER and REWARDER we thank you for guiding Dr. Bray and Ivy into your Holy of Holies over the last weekend, for meeting with them in prayer and helping them to focus on pleasing you and not men. Thank you for revealing directions to the Bray Family Missionaries as they wait upon you. AMEN

MIGHTY GOD, use Dr. Bray and Ivy as they work with ministry partners this week to edit, print and mail missionary support-raising letters. Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we will trust in the name of the Lord our God, and so we do not trust in these fundraising letters but we pray that you will use them in the hearts of your people to meet the needs of your work this month. Help us all to trust in you and not be afraid as we embark on this new year of outreach. AMEN and AMEN

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: "For the Mighty One has done great things for me--holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation" (Luke 1:49-50).

BACKGROUND ON THIS PRAYER REQUEST: One of the most important reasons we want to cut back on overseas and domestic travel in 2008 is the newly developing missionary List and Letter service we are organizing to operate here in Charlottesville. This ministry of the CIS Projects and Ministries department requires meeting editorial and production deadlines. The Bray Family missionaries have done this work for hundreds of indigenous missionaries over the years and as staff members with larger missions. Now they are offering the service on an outsource basis. This will help spread the costs and thus save poor and needy missionaries some of the growing costs of communication.

January 18, 2008 - Prayer and Fasting for Guidance

"Prayer Priority" Request for Friday, January 18, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

PRINCE OF PEACE, thank you for giving each of us the patience to wait upon you in prayer and fasting for guidance, particularly for Dr. Bray and the whole family in Charlottesville as they face new situations and turning points in their spiritual journey today and throughout 2008. AMEN

ROCK OF SALVATION, help Dr. Bray and all of us to learn how to serve you better by serving others in the New Year. Lord help us to live as if we are your hands and feet in this world, doing your works and serving others as you did. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).

BACKGROUND ON THIS WEEKEND'S PRAYER FOCUS: As I take Saturday off to retreat, pray and fast, my main goal is to examine my conscience against Scripture. I review my life and walk to see where I have sinned or missed the will of God or perhaps am heading in the wrong direction. No Christian male or leader, no matter how successful, can dare to live an unexamined life for none of us are without sin. My dear wife Ivy said something to me the other day that has haunted me because I think it is one of the big problems with many Christian businesses, churches, marriages, ministries and missions. Let me paraphrase what she said, "You know, Bill, when you sin, it affects me--I may not know what you have done or when you did it--but I get depressed and disoriented as much as you do." We as leaders have no private sins. We have done things or left things undone that must be corrected. When we stray from the right path, our followers suffer and falter. Our sin causes others to sin. So we need to take regular times each day and each week to seek the guidance of the Lord, welcoming his rod and staff as we seek to find his paths for righteousness in our lives. We need to thank God for the trials in our lives. Although we don't love trials, we accept them cheerfully because through them we come closer to the Good Shepherd of our souls. The Lord does not use trials to punish us, but to train us in His ways, and the sooner we learn from them the sooner they pass!

January 16, 2008 - Exodus Mandate Editorial Deadlines

"Prayer Priority" Request for Wednesday, January 16, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD for the ministries we are serving such as Exodus Mandate , Wisdom and Truth Music, and others who have an urgent and powerful message to communicate with their friends and supporters month after month. AMEM

LORD OF KAIROS, help Chaplain Ray Moore and the team as they face pressing editorial and printing deadlines for the February Action Alert newsletter that must be met today. Help all involved to have sharp minds to make the first appeal of the New Year for California Exodus 08 support and for monthly faith partners to join the ministry. Use this letter we pray, to sound the alarm for this Jericho moment in the Christian education movement. AMEN and AMEN

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION OF THE WEEK: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: While many evangelical Christians in America are obsessed with the current national elections there is a far more important struggle going on for the future of the American nation. It is the struggle for the future of Christian culture and family. Unknown to 99 out of 100 Americans, a new law in California requires tax-funded school systems to retrain Christian children to accept non-Christian family structures and behavior. The Exodus Mandate letter attempts to educate their supporters about this law in time to respond. It needs to be printed and mailed by Tuesday, January 22 to stay on schedule. At least 300 faith partners are needed to make a monthly pledge to Exodus Mandate in 2008 to help the ministry survive and carry on its mission. Exodus Mandate is a project of Frontline Ministries that is seeking to call Christian parents and pastors to remove Christian children out of anti-Christian schools and redirect them into Christian education settings. Pray that the message will reach supporters in time and find favor in their hearts. Dr. Bill Bray is consulting director of development for Exodus Mandate.

January 15, 2008 - A Legacy for Our Grandchildren

"Prayer Priority" Request for Tuesday, January 15, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

SON OF MARY, we thank you for the 11 books Dr. Bray has written or co-authored and the millions of lives that have been touched by these bestsellers. We thank you for the gift of creativity you have given him as an author and for providing him with some available time to write again in 2008. AMEN

SEED OF THE WOMAN, help Dr. Bray and Ricky Cain as they develop a new mentoring site and web-publishing project, The Alpha Male Survival Guide, that it might be both a spiritual and financial success. We pray that it will address the needs of the "Facebook generation" and the grandchildren of the baby boomers as they struggle with gender issues. May it be used to help heal the wounds left by the sins of past generations and transform the future. Lord, we pray that this will be the first of many book publishing projects that will allow Dr. Bray to leave a legacy to his grandchildren. AMEN and AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Dr. Bill and Ricky are currently designing an interesting experiment in interactive media, a web-publishing program to reach out and interact on the internet with twenty-something young men, to dialog with them about what it means to be a male in the new millennium--how to be a father, husband, lover and worker in the information age. Dr. Bill will test out the chapters of his new book and seek feedback before the book is published. The project will be funded by donations rather than book sales.

January 14, 2008 - Praying for Georgia Travel Plans

"Prayer Priority" Request for Monday, January 14, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD for the many friends and supporters of this ministry you have raised up in the Atlanta-area, in Columbus, and elsewhere in the State of Georgia. We know that your Holy Spirit has attracted many missions and Great Commission agencies to the Atlanta area and we praise you for the many international outreaches that radiate out to the nations from there. We especially thank you for the outreaches to Africa, Europe and the "10-40 Window" nations. AMEN

SENT OF THE FATHER, direct us in your location and travel plans for this ministry both short term and long term. Provide confirmations and invitations if Dr. Bray is supposed to go to Georgia next week as planned. Provide assignments and transportation expenses if he is to go. Help Dr. Bray to discern your timing and make clear your will to all concerned. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S URGENT PRAYER FOCUS: Last year, Dr. Bray set aside January 19-28, 2008 as a potential time to revisit Georgia and possibly do some short-term ministry development work or visitation with partners and friends there. We have long seen this as an ideal base location for our international ministry and continue to explore the city and state. Next week is still an ideal window of opportunity for travel but tickets need to be purchased within 48 hours if Dr. Bray flies or a car rented to make the 10-hour drive. Confirmation is needed from potential hosts or miraculous provision for a speculative trip. A timely decision is needed.

January 11, 2008 - Welcome Howie and Deb

"Prayer Priority" Request for Friday, January 11, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU Lord for bringing Howie and Debbie Campbell into the CIS family of project partners whose ministries are under development with Dr. Bill and Ivy. We thank you for the powerful impact they are having in the lives of so many, using music as a medium to take the Gospel to places where the church and Christians are not usually welcome. AMEN and AMEN

MY SHEPHERD, open doors in Chicago and Georgia this month and next, especially for Dr. Bray and Ivy as they take a short mission trip to Chicago during Founders week February 1-6 and as Bill plans a possible mission to the Atlanta area January 20-27. May sponsors be found to cover travel expenses and doors open for Dr. Bray to speak and encourage local believers. AMEN

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets" (Matthew 7:12).

January 9, 2008 - Bill and Ivy Lead Planning Workshops

"Prayer Priority" Request for Wednesday, January 9, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD, for supplying the Brays with a clean, quiet place from which to minister to more Christian missions, churches and charities from their home offices in Charlottesville, Virginia. AMEN

SIGN, provide Ivy with the computers and equipment, office furniture, software programs and new computer training she needs to expand the ministry and project services department. May CIS be more fully equipped to meet the growing demands of mission partners by providing outsourced administrative, communication and media services to missions around the world from the Charlottesville office. AMEN and AMEN

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Matthew 7:11).

BACKGROUND COMMENTS: Providing outsourced growth and development services to missions is a vital part of our ministry today. Most of the support services that used to be done in offices and institutional settings can now be done remotely, saving thousands of dollars in travel plus time and other expenses. We have the space available for the work but need capital to train our missionary staff and to link into remote computer programs and data bases. Dr. Bray also needs grace and favor to find ministry partners that will not only retain us on a regular basis but also help capitalize the investment needed to do upgrade our missions' offices so that CIS can do the work better and faster. Pray that we will find new partners and finances to be fully equipped.

January 8, 2008 - Bill and Ivy Lead Planning Workshops

"Prayer Priority" Request for Tuesday, January 8, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD for the active Bray Family indigenous missionary and ministry partners who are meeting or cybercasting with the Brays this week, particularly for Exodus Mandate in the USA, the Campbell's "Musicianary" Tour to New York and nationally in the USA, Lourdes Sanchez Pounossis in Greece, and Juanito Sanchez in Bicol, Philippines. AMEN

SON OF GOD, give wisdom to the Brays as they facilitate the CIS,Inc. 2008 Annual Week of Planning and Development . Training starts today in Charlottesville. Help Dr. Bray to communicate the principles of growing missions in faith, raising support, and communicating according to your principles in Matthew 7:7-12. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened" (Matt. 7:7-8).

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Why is it, I notice, that whenever you step out for God in His service there appear to suddenly be insurmountable needs? I've never seen a real missionary or Christian worker without massive challenges of some kind -- discouragement, family, finances, health, opposition within and without, persecution or a host of others. When these storms beat against your ship, you need to just sail ahead right on course and keep doing good to those whom God has given you to serve in the name of Jesus. Asking, seeking, and knocking must come before the receiving, finding and opportunities. Sowing, often in tears, must come before the harvest. Never give up.

January 7, 2008 - California Exodus 08 Prospectus

"Prayer Priority" Request for Monday, January 7, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

LORD, we thank you for the wonderful coalition that is coming together with local churches to promote the rescue of children entrapped in the public schools of California. We especially thank you for the American Family Association, Eagle Forum, Concerned Women for America, and Exodus Mandate-Frontline Ministries as well as dozens of other schools and associations like Home Schooling Family to Family. AMEN

TRUE LIGHT AND TRIED STONE, we pray that you will help Dr. Bill to edit and write February newsletters for his clients and ministry partners this week and bless the CIS Missionary Book Table Ministry as Bill and Ivy set it up this weekend in local churches and Christian groups. AMEN and AMEN

PRAYER THOUGHTS ON THE CURRENT SITUATION: Why, how and when did communications ministry become so complicated? For Christian missions, communications technology is often no longer our servant but our master. We spend so much time on servicing our "labor saving" and "time saving" technologies that they are no longer efficient for the small missionary ministry. This is suddenly a new "do it yourself" age, only now the tools are more difficult and expensive to use. A new generation is coming up with the technology but without the spirit of sacrifice and spiritual burden for the work. A skilled, professional communications corps is needed to help Christian churches and missions cope with the new media crisis. So many of the people with the vision for the work lack money, knowledge, skills and wisdom in the new technologies. We need to pray that more young people will join us in the work of media today. The real spiritual warfare for the nations is being fought in the trenches of the internet today, but far too often we don't have internet soldiers for Christ on the team and financially supported. (c) 2008 by Dr. Bill Bray, CIS, Inc.

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my souls thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water" (Psalm 63:1).

January 5, 2008 - Twelfth Night in Virginia

30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

SHILOH, we thank you for allowing Bill and Ivy Bray to be in Virginia for Twelfth Night 2008 along with their boys and growing numbers of Christian friends. Thank you for using Dr. Bill to help disciple his own children and other twenty-something boys and girls in the City of Charlottesville, helping them to find careers, work and Christian ministry. Thank you for the growing Alpha Male ministry he is developing. AMEN and AMEN

OVERSEAS OUTREACH NOTE: Please pray for godly leaders to rule wisely, for the persecutors and persecuted, for the poor and disposessed, and for Christian radio outreaches in Mexico and the Caribbean nations of Cuba, Dominican Republic and Haiti. (See the YWAM Personal Prayer Diary for more details, or call for your copy, 434-227-0811.)

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water" (Psalm 63:1).

January 3, 2008 - Financial Challenges in 2008

"Prayer Priority" Request for Thursday, January 3, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD for providing so wonderfully for the finances of the Brays and their ministry partners in 2007. We thank you for providing offerings for the missionaries of CIS like the Brays, for providing jobs for the Bray boys to help with the expenses of the Charlottesville house, and for the many special donations to missions, needs and projects. AMEN

ADVOCATE, we pray that you will impress Christians both small and great to give to the ministry of Exodus Mandate and Chaplain Ray Moore as well as the Bray Family. We especially pray for major donors to come forward at this time and capitalize the California Exodus 2008 campaign that starts January 10. We pray that Dr. Bray and Ivy that they will be able to meet their new ministry expenses this year. AMEN and AMEN

UPDATE ON FINANCES: Pray for the Brays as they seek to renew support from churches and friends during the first quarter of 2008 and also as they search for new ministry program partners and projects who will use their services and share in the costs of carrying on the ministry.

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it" (Hebrews 13:1-2).

January 2, 2008 - Christian Blood Shed in India, Kenya

"Prayer Priority" Request for Wednesday, January 2, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

LORD MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION, we thank you that you are always protecting your people and hiding them in your pavilions, even in the day of trouble when wicked men breath out cruelty and violence against them. AMEN

UPHOLDER OF ALL THINGS, we pray for Dr. Bray and the CIS Board of Directors as they prepare for the February 22 Annual Meeting of CIS,INC in Charlottesville and for volunteers as they prepare for other meetings of our fellowship in Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas and the Bay Area of San Franciso and San Jose. AMEN and AMEN

SPECIAL EMERGENCY PRAYER ALERT FOR THE PERSECUTED - Please join us in calling your local churches and groups to pray for Christians who are suffering violence during the Christmas holidays. Pray for believers in Orrissa where the Hindu Jihadists killed at least 7 Christians, burned down 65 churches and 600 Christian homes in attacks that began on Christmas Eve. Pray also for Christians in Kenya where tribal violence following elections there have left thousands homeless and scores dead. Pray for godly leaders in these lands and in Cuba that they will rule their countries wisely, protect Christians and bring justice to the oppressed. Pray for Dr. Bray that he will be able to help indigenous leaders in these places as the Lord provides.

January 1, 2008 - Happy New Year!

"Prayer Priority" Request for Tuesday, January 1, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...

THANK YOU LORD for protecting each of us and keeping us safe from the attacks of the enemy in 2007 and for blessing us the fresh faith we need to begin a new year of ministry at our assigned stations. We thank you for your direction and guidance in the affairs of our lives and for giving us fresh resolutions as we begin 2008. AMEN and AMEN

TESTATOR, help Dr. Bray and his media missionary team as they communicate your love and light in the new year and implement his 2008 New Year's Resolutions for spiritual, physical and mental growth. AMEN

VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it" (Hebrews 13:1-2).
