JEHOVAH JIRAH, MY PROVIDER, we thank you that you desire your people to prosper and to give to the poor rather than be among the poor as one of the poor. We thank you that you make us rich and add no sorrow to it. AMEN

MAN OF SORROWS, we pray that as Dr. Bray enters into the fellowship of your suffering through the fires of hatred, backbiting, opposition and slander by both the world and pharisees in the church, he will be a better servant to indigenous missionaries and potential missionaries including overseas students, Hindus, Muslims and others who are becoming Christians. We pray especially that you will use him to help the poor become rich. AMEN and AMEN

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: The poor, especially poor Christian leaders and missionaries, are poor for a reason. Since the Scriptures proclaim that God will provide for his work, why are some Christian ministries unable to pay their bills? This is especially difficult for Dr. Bray as he works so often with indigenous missionaries, churches and missions that seem to be bound in perpetual poverty. It is easy to be sympathetic and provide help for those who have faced a disaster, but a lot harder to work with Christians who are ignorant of the Scripture and believe that they should be poor and stingy! Pray for Dr. Bill as he leads workshops in support raising and teaches on the promises of God for the provision of His saints. Pray for him as he counsels those caught in cultures of poverty or third world countries where the curse of poverty is sometimes upon a whole nation. May Dr. Bray be used to pray with them in faith for deliverance from lack and want.

Thank you for giving Christians in the developed countries an opportunity to reach foreign students and send them back to their homelands as witnesses for Christ. Thank you for giving Dr. Bray and Ivy a growing ministry in this area of outreach. AMEN

LORD OF HOSTS we look to you to provide us with offices, computers, and the tools that are needed to minister to poor students and missionaries working with overseas students in developed lands. Help us rebuild our offices and support center team in Charlottesville to better serve the Great Commission of Christ. AMEN

Thank you for the prayer partners and supporters who sacrifice to keep the Brays in missionary service. AMEN and AMEN

MY MAKER, help Ivy as she sets up new offices here in Charlottesville and to take care of administrative needs for poor native missionaries as they travel and go to their assignments both in the USA and overseas. OVERCOMER, help Dr. Bray today and all this week as he wraps up the urgent February communication efforts for missions and ministries that CIS is actively serving. Especially bless the March newsletter mailings that are being printed and mailed today and all this week. MIGHTY GOD, we praise you that 35 years ago Dr. Bray returned from seven years of bi-vocational missionary work in Asia and started the USA office of Christian Information Service in Chicago, Illinois. Lord, You are amazing! What wonderful things you have done in the last three decades as Dr. Bray has stumbled along trying to serve you; has sacrificed and suffered to serve Christ's missions and the whole Body of Christ. AMEN

PROPHET MIGHTY IN WORD AND DEED, we pray that the bad weather will hold off for tonight and the forecasts of ice and snow in Virginia will not hinder new friends and old from gathering at the 35th Anniversary Celebration of CIS in Charlottesville. Confirm the decisions to join CIS and support the Brays that will be made tonight. Give the Brays favor in the eyes of those who come and those who read of this event in the news, and help the Brays to continue on to support more ministries that meet the urgent needs of the hour. BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S REQUEST: CIS,Inc. is a 501(c)3 missionary tool that God has used as one channel of his grace to help the Brays and many others survive and carry on their work for Christ, helping indigenous missions grow and develop at home and around the world. Pray that God will use it during times of crisis like the present moment when the Brays are without enough regular support.

The whole earth is yours and all that it contains; that you have set aside hidden treasures for us your servants and that no one who has given up family or the things of this world for You will go unrewarded. PURIFIER AND REWARDER, help us as we focus on the inner life, examining our consciences in the light of scripture to see if we in any way are out of your will. May we walk in your ways and enjoy your provisions for we believe that where you send, You will supply. We especially pray that we will find the funds we need to bring our income up to our expenses. AMEN and AMEN

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Last week, one of our support team partners wrote to us quoting the above verse, not knowing that we had read the same verse by divine coincidence on the same day. We both had the same conviction from God, a certainly that the Lord had a secret source of wealth for us to get us through this time of financial trial that began when were forced out of our last full-time missionary appointment in Georgia. Last year, we had a $50,000 loss in income and this continues into 2008. Praise the Lord we can borrow on the equity of our house to carry us through, but we are praying now that God will give us a financial breakthrough. Please pray with us that the Lord will show us the secret financial treasure that He has for us and that we will get back to the place where we owe no man anything.

PRINCE OF PEACE, we especially pray today for Dr. Bill's brother, John, who has been admitted to hospital in Chicago and for Sister Lourdes in Manila as she continues treatment. SON OF MARY, we pray that you will direct and empower Dr. Bray to write more powerful Bible-based books and do web publishing projects that will help produce income for the Bill and Ivy and give them the financial freedom to give more to others and better serve their missionary clients. We pray that you will give a new $50,000 sponsor or investor to the ministry for the publication of each new book product. AMEN

BACKGROUND ON THIS PRAYER REQUEST: Dr. Bray has authored or ghost-written 11 missions books in his career so far. Two of the books have reached over one million copies in print. Tens of millions of dollars of income to missions can be traced back to these books as well as many volunteers. The big "mind set" shift from traditional sending missions to indigenous missions was fomented by these books. There are many needs today that need such a book focus, including Christian schools and education, virtual churches, the Face Book generation, jihadism and other devotional and lifestyle subjects which are close to Dr. Bray's heart. Nothing changes minds and hearts like Bible-based books. Pray that Dr. Bray will fulfill his goal of producing one new book product a year for the next 10 years.

SON OF GOD, we praise you for good news from the Philippines that doctors treating missionary Sister Lourdes Sanchez report that her cancer did not metatasize into her bones as had been feared. Praise God that her family and support team in the Philippines was able to fly her home from Greece to pray for her healing and treat her arm which was partially paralized after breast cancer surgery. AMEN

MY SHEPHERD, bless the Bray Family's Missionary Book Table ministry to local churches and special events such as the CIS 35th Anniversary Celebration February 22 and similar meetings in Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus and Dallas. Provide funds to capitalize the book table. Open doors for travel to Chicago May 18-26 and to these other cities as well as a possible Christmas Pilgrimage to the Holy Land and the Bray's Annual Christian Heritage Week in Williamsburg and Alexandria. BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER AND PRAISE FOR LOURDES SANCHEZ: CIS Missions worked with Lourdes last summer on a special short-term mission to Greece where she has been a missionary to minority workers for over 20 years. Ivy Bray and missionary evangelist Juanito Sanchez led the mission and God visited his servants with revival power and blessing. However, since then Lourdes has developed serious health problems and Christ the Mighty God Church in Athens flew her back to the Philippines to get medical help and rest with the aid gifts from the CIS Good Samaritan Emergency Fund. Her only son was left behind in Greece to attend school. Contributions to these ongoing missionary needs may be sent to CIS, INC designated for the Good Sam Fund.

SURE FOUNDATION, give favor and guide Dr. Bray and Ivy as they plan and prepare to attend the NRB Convention. Supply every need, especially in regards to Frontline Ministries and the California Exodus 08 campaign that will be the main focus of the work there for CIS. Provide sponsors and donors to finance the mission to Nashville, including the costs of accomadations, airline tickets, car rental, clothing, exhibition space, literature, meals, media, printing and registrations or tickets for various events. May there be many divine encounters and reunions. AMEN

Through the NRB, he expects to renew and enlarge his media fellowship network, and meet many vendors and suppliers whose products are critical to the everyday ministry of CIS. The world of Christian mass media and web marketing is changing rapidly and this event is the key to keeping current.

PRAISE THE LORD for the dozens of Christian missionaries, churches, missions, native missionary agencies, nonprofit organizations, and others who are coming to Dr. Bray and asking for training in his Friend Raising ministry for support raising missionaries. AMEN

TRIED STONE, give favor to Dr. Bray and Ivy as they prepare curriculum now and promote the next series of "Finding Support in America" workshops to be held in Charlottesville from April 3-5. AMEN

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Ever since Dr. Bray started training indigenous missionaries in how to raise support at Christian Aid Mission, native missionaries from every continent have been contacting him for help in their ongoing communications' ministries. As a result, the Lord has used the Brays to help raise millions of dollars in support for support raising missionaries. Stating this year, Bill and Ivy will be leading quarterly training workshops for overseas students, indigenous missionaries and Christian workers. Pray for this ministry to grow even stronger and that many more missionaries and local mission agencies will send their missionary staff to these meetings.

Bring new program partners into this ministry and help us to help raise revenue and prayer support for what you are doing among foreign students, young men, children, music ministries and Christian education ministries. I am focusing my prayer and meditation on three areas of my spiritual journey this year: (1) GOD'S LEADING THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD as I seek for Bible truth and the words to cast vision for missions to overseas students, young men of the Facebook Generation, Muslims, and Christian parents; (2) FINDING THE ACCOUNTABILITY, DISCIPLINE AND GUIDANCE which I need to walk more closely with Christ; and finally, to search for the (3) GRACE FROM GOD I NEED TO YIELD to Him and to be more consistent--radiantly shining out the light and life of God through my words and deeds.

THANK YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST for the hundreds of friends and partners who have joined our ministry and the tens of thousands who have joined our ministry partners over the years, especially those who have become sustaining members. AMEN

TRUE LIGHT, use Dr. Bray's February news letters and action alert prayer letters to cause many believers to commit themselves to regular prayer and support for the missionaries, projects and ministries who are helped by this ministry. Use these letters to cause them to fix their hearts on making new vows or renewing old vows to the missions of Christ. AMEN and AMEN

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Nothing is more important to missions than regular contributors. Yesterday, we prayed for the very important capital gifts--and they are critical to long-range growth. However most Christian missions pay their living allowances, rent and the light bills from small regular donations. So it is these "smaller" and more regular gifts that actually keep missions moving forward day after day. February is membership month for CIS and an important time when we are challenging people to be faithful in the year ahead and become Sustaining Members of CIS and the Ministry Partners we serve. Pray for regular faith promise partners.

UPHOLDER OF ALL THINGS, we praise you for mission committees and boards of directors, especially those founders and advisors who give Dr. Bray's development offices the extra hours and finances to help get new ministries started. We especially thank you for the CIS Board of Directors and friends in Charlottesville who are right now helping Dr. Bray get ready to celebrate the CIS 35th Anniversary on February 22. AMEN and AMEN

ADVOCATE, we pray for donors who are giving extra funds to help launch California Exodus Mandate, Student Prayer Movement, Enterprises for Christ, international student outreaches to Muslims and music ministries that are taking Jesus to the streets of the USA. Lord, we pray that you will help us to locate donors who can give $50,000, $5000 and $500 to help give birth to these new kinds of Gospel missionary outreaches. AMEN and AMEN

Each of them represents a "Campfire for Christ" that has to be lit for tonight's meetings. Sundown is coming. He has a box of matches, but no dry kindling or accelerant to get the fires going. Once the fire get's going, the wood will dry out as we progress and we'll have bright, warm fires in time for the meetings. In terms of growth and development ministry, that fire accelerant is a major donor or donors. These are the more wealthy Christians whom God has blessed with the funds to get the fires started with a major capital gift. Pray that Dr. Bray and his ministry partners will be able to find the major donors needed to give capital funds to get new ministries started. Reaching this generation for Christ depends on starting as many new fires as possible. Please pray.

PRAISE YOU LORD for the Chinese people and what you are doing through them to reach the world for Christ. We thank you for their industry and example of successfully overcoming adversity and persecution. We thank you for the compassion, prayers and love for the Bray ministries that has come from our Chinese partners over the years. AMEN and AMEN

TESTATOR, we pray for this new month of February and the emphasis this month on renewal of alliances, business relationships, friendships, memberships and pledges. May we renew lost relationships and establish new ones, especially to provide the support needs for the Bray Family. We especially pray that this will be a time to renew support for the many support services of CIS in the year ahead. AMEN and AMEN

BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: The Brays are back in Charlottesville, and need to rebuild a foundation of support for their ministry of growth and development to indigenous missions and mission agencies. This ministry needs to be underwritten and supported. Pray that through our network of friends and relationships in Charlottesville, it will reach it's full potential.
