30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
MAN OF SORROWS, we end March and begin April full of thanks for the new paths upon which you have led us in answer to prayer, for the new ministries and the old, for new business and the unfinished work of the past, and for so much successful preparations for the future with Overseas Students Mission. AMEN
OUR LAWGIVER, help Dr. Bill and Ivy as they communicate the vision for their new international mission assignment, giving them favor among Charlottesville believers as well as throughout the USA and around the world. Give our chairman and boards of directors the finances, health and wisdom they need to help the Brays take the needed steps to reorganize the ministry. Help the Brays to discern your will, ways, and promises and especially grant Bill the new life skills he needs to become a servant leader to a new generation of indigenous leaders. At the same time, give him the discipline he needs to fulfill all his vows old and new. AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgives you" (Colossians 3:12-13).

LORD JESUS, seated at the right hand of the father, we praise you for the way that you have called and ordained Dr. Bray and Ivy to serve at Overseas Students Mission and the way in which your hand is being revealed in the details as the new offices are being cleaned, equipped, furnished and painted for the glory of God. MIGHTY GOD, REFINER we thank you for all our friends and support team partners throughout the USA but especially in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. Use these letters as channels of blessings to support your missionary servants dear Lord, and to bring praise, honor and glory to your work and righteous ways on this earth. March 22, 2008 - Happy Easter to New Friends and Old
"Prayer Priority" Request for Saturday, March 22, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
OUR PASSOVER, we thank you for dying for our sins that we might have ever lasting life and we also thank you for the way that you renew our human ministries on this earth at each stage along the journey of life. AMEN
THE RESURRECTION, we ask you to use Dr. Bray and Ivy as they follow up on the scores of new friends which they made at the NRB Convention this year, especially those for the Overseas Students Mission. AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows" (James 1:17).
ABOUT TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Quick follow-up of new friends and contacts is so very important. However, while we wait for phones, furniture and computers to be installed in our new offices, it is hard to communicate. We don't even have a working website or brochure in print! There is so much to do. Therefore, in the meantime, I am just making phone calls sending personal emails, and handing out my calling card. Pray that these will hit home and that the Lord will continue to give us fruit as we build the foundations of our new ministry based here in Charlottesville, Virginia. Pray also that our early attempts to meet leaders and communicate with them will be well understood and that the Lord will give us favor and encouragement from other churches, missions and ministries in the local area. Word of mouth spreads fast and can sometimes leads to gossip in a small town setting like Charlottesville.

PRAISE YOU LORD for the furniture that is being donated today to help set up our new missionary offices for Overseas Students Mission based in Charlottesville. AMEN
ROCK OF OUR SALVATION, provide new computers and software to do slide shows, power points, field work, database and communications services. VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows" (James 1:17).
ABOUT TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Although we want to continue operating frugally at a budget much less than what is normal for operating a modern business, we pray that our new offices will still be efficient and effective and bring glory to God. May be not be men-pleasers but reveal his glory and beauty in the new offices and in all we do, both on the website and in print as well as in our own dress and appearance. Pray that we won't be gripped by the false missionary mentality that does everything so cheap that the work does not get done properly or give God his due glory.

LORD JESUS CHRIST, LION OF JUDAH and SENT OF THE FATHER we are quick to praise you for calling each of us to follow in your pathways for you came to show us the way of life. March 16, 2008 - Dr. Bray Accepts Call to Become OSM President
"Prayer Priority" Request for Sunday, March 16, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
SENT OF THE FATHER, we thank you for moving on the board of directors of Overseas Students Mission to call Dr. Bill Bray and Ivy to come and serve on their staff full-time effective immediately. Thank you for making clear your call for Dr. Bray to become the president of this mission. AMEN
SON OF MARY, help Dr. Bray to learn and implement the power of the focused life through this new call. May he quickly fold into all his current overseas ministries into OSM--especially to missionary candidates to indigenous missions abroad, and also prune back his life and ministry to achieve your will in this new position. May he and Ivy be aggressive as they reschedule their time in order to take care of existing commitments in an effective way. May they integrate and merge the many overlapping parts of their ministries for the glory of God and the building up of Your Bride. May they find many new native missionary candidates, financial sponsors and supporting churches to help OSM do its part in reaching all nations before the end comes. AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows" (James 1:17).
BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Since OSM was first begun in 1953, the organization has been instrumental in reaching thousands of overseas students and visitors in the USA. As a result, it directly gave birth to two other mission agencies and has indirectly inspired many leaders to start up scores of others. As a result, we praise the Lord that hundreds of thousands of native missionaries are partnering with supporters from many countries. OMS still fulfills a unique ministry unduplicated by any other mission board or organization, assisting students from abroad and other overseas visitors to return as native missionaries to their homelands. I view the stewardship of this organization as a high calling and one which God has prepared me for through four decades of experience in developing native missions. We are thanking God every day for this marvelous new opportunity and praise him for this new open door.

We especially pray that you will supply the needs for urgent communications campaigns which depend on timely mailings but also for capital needs such as computers, more efficient cars, office furniture, phones and software providers. AMEN and AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth" (I John 3:17-18).
March 11, 2008 - International Broadcasting Missionaries

30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
KING OF KINGS, we thank you for the success that Dr. Bill and Ivy have had networking with potential media missionaries at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville and with international broadcasters who have come there from every continent. AMEN
MY SHEPHERD, we ask you to make the International Receptions and meetings today a strong force for indigenous missions. Use Dr. Bray's meetings with K. P. Yohannan and other leaders as a way to help OSM connect native missionaries with native broadcasters. Especially help Dr. Bray to connect with the so-called New Media missionaries and evangelists who are using the Internet, Face Book, You Tube, and similar indigenous websites to reach around the world to the next generation. AMEN and AMEN

AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth" (I John 3:17-18).
March 7, 2008 - Many Reasons to Go to NRB Today
"Prayer Priority" Request for Friday, March 7, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
THANK YOU LORD for the Bray's obedience to your call and for the rest of the all-volunteer missionary team that is going to the National Religious Broadcasters convention today on faith. Many are covering the high costs of this event out of their own pockets as a ministry unto the Lord. We praise you for those who have supported the Brays so far in this venture and for those who will still give to this mission. AMEN
SURE FOUNDATION we ask you to protect Dr. Bill and Ivy as they fly to the NRB Convention today and provide for their every need in Nashville. Give them great favor with all they meet among the 6000-plus attendees including the NRB staff and all those in authority. May they find open doors among the media for Chaplain Moore and the Exodus Mandate volunteers as they fight for Christian education. May they minister to the media in prayer and fellowship, especially with those who are taking Christ into the marketplace as workers and to other media missionaries. Use Assist Media and others to promote the Christian Media Fellowship. Finally Lord, connect Bill and Ivy with international students and indigenous missionaries who need help finding Christ's will for their lives, especially those who are returning as native missionaries to call out a people for your name from among the unreached nations in their homelands. Open many doors for Overseas Students Mission and the new native missions they represent. AMEN and AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers" (I John 3:16).
BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S REQUESTS: Attending the NRB is a big step of faith for Dr. Bill and Ivy. While they have cut back on their overseas travel this year in order to build a new base in Charlottesville, they feel that working the NRB 2008 Convention is critical to overcoming the media black out against their ministry partners. Pray for them daily over the next week; for good health, strength, safety, favor and hundreds of productive new contacts and relationships to develop as a result of this mission for Christ and His Kingdom.
March 5, 2008 - Burst of Support on Eve of NRB Global Convention
"Prayer Priority" Request for Wednesday, March 5, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
TRUE LIGHT, we thank you for the new wave of support from pastors, churches, and intercessors that has come this month as the Bray Family prepares to start their new and expanded 2008 ministries to children, native missionaries and overseas students at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention starting this Friday in Nashville. AMEN
TRIED STONE, help Dr. Bill and Ivy and the team to get all the hand-out materials which they need to have printed in order to have effective appointments, interviews and one-on-one ministry at the NRB Convention March 7-13. Thank you for providing many open doors for news media interviews for Chaplain Moore and Denise Kanter of Exodus Mandate. Supply admittance and tickets to attend costly international luncheons, receptions and other events where Bill and Ivy need to meet indigenous, international broadcasters. Help the Brays to cover all other expenses related to attending this convention. Help them to love fellow media missionaries and network with them in the Christian Media Fellowship prayer meetings. AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers" (I John 3:16).
March 4, 2008 - Christian Media Fellowship at NRB
"Prayer Priority" Request for Tuesday, March 4, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
THANK YOU LORD for the funds and the faith you have given to Bill and Ivy as they launch out on a mission to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville this week. We rejoice and thank you for Dr. Bray's announcement that the Christian Media Fellowship Round Table will again meet this year every morning during NRB at the Garden Conservatory Cafe. AMEN
SHILOH, we ask you to use Dr. Bill and Ivy as they meet each morning for prayer with the Christian Media Fellowship Round Table at the NRB. We pray that you will give them favor as they invite people to this meeting and seek to enlarge their fellowship this year and every year at the NRB. Please bring many faithful friends to this event as well as new, younger believers from the Face Book Generation. AMEN and AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers" (I John 3:16).
BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: In the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's Dr. Bray organized a number of Christian Media Fellowships in Bangkok, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Washington, DC. These monthly dinner meetings and sometimes weekly round tables helped Christian professionals in the media to network and support one another. CMF is one of the six original purposes for which CIS,INC was formed here in the USA back in 1973. However, this part of the ministry has fallen by the wayside as Dr. Bray focused on the daily struggle of assisting needy native missionaries. Now, the Lord has impressed on Dr. Bray the need to resurrect these groups so that we can leave a lasting legacy to future generations and expand the testimony of Christians in media. Please pray for these Round Tables to be successful this year at NRB and spread across the country as a social network.
March 3, 2008 - Editorial Deadlines Hit Early This Week!
"Prayer Priority" Request for Monday, March 3, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
THANK YOU Lord for so many editorial assignments for Dr. Bill Bray's writing ministry this week. We praise you for assignments for communication projects spreading the Kingdom of God across the USA and around the world. AMEN
ADVOCATE, help Dr. Bray and the team meet editorial deadlines this week. Help them to become anointed advocates for (1) Christian parents and pastors in California who must choose Christian education for their children, for (2) overseas students in the USA as they prepare to return home as native missionaries, and for (3) musical missionaries in the USA as they take Jesus Christ and his gospel to the streets through song. AMEN and AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers" (I John 3:16).
BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S REQUEST: Because Dr. Bill and Ivy are going to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville March 7-12, they have to move all their normal editorial deadlines back in order to get monthly letters out on time--letters like the Exodus Mandate Action Alert for April. Please pray that creative work will get done, be approved, and get off to the graphic artists so that typesetting and layouts can be expedited while the Brays are out of town.
March 2, 2008 - Praise God for New $50,000 Matching Grant Promise
"Prayer Priority" Request for Sunday, March 2, 2008
30 Second Pause for Prayer from Bill and Ivy Bray...
ALL GLORY TO GOD for a new $50,000 matching grant promise for 2008 which was made from an secret donor last week. This wonderful marching grant challenge offers to match anything given to the Bray Family support in order to help the Bray's work with supporting indigenous missionaries up to $50,000. Praise the Lord for this much needed breakthrough and what it means to the Bray family ministry to international students and native missionaries. AMEN and AMEN!
KING OF KINGS, we thank you for this desperately needed financial pledge and pray that there will be a mighty outpouring of gifts from everyone on our support team this month. We pray that many friends who have not given in months and years will renew their regular support or give a special gift in response to this new challenge. We pray that many will send larger gifts than usual this month to help the Brays recover lost income, pay off interest bearing loans, and pull out of their financial distress. AMEN and AMEN
VERSE OF THE WEEK: "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers" (I John 3:16).
BACKGROUND ON TODAY'S PRAYER REQUEST: Although CIS,INC received over $100,000 in donations for the Bray's missionary work last year, less than $40,000 was actually for their personal support. The rest was given on a restricted basis for special projects and overseas mission trip expenses. As a result, the Brays suffered a severe drop in their personal income and had to borrow on their mortgage in order to pay basic bills such as car payments, medical insurance, utilities and even food. Now, thanks to this new $50,000 matching grant promised for the year 2008, the Brays will be able to meet their living expenses for the new year IF friends of Christ's great commission work are faithful in their monthly support to the Brays. Please, pray that there will be a big outpouring of donations starting this month and the Brays will begin to operate their ministry in the black again. Pray also for additional new income streams like the www.BookWithIvyBray.com travel agency, our Missionary List and Letter Service, and the Missionary Book Table that these efforts will be used of God to increase income for the Brays personally and the work of God in general. AMEN
