Rick Joyner’s “Visions
of the Harvest”
Reviewed by Jim Goodhart
THIS book will bring vast encouragement to missionaries, pastors
and anyone in ministry. It is motivating thousands of young leaders and
students to prepare for the great wave of conversions that he believes is about
to hit planet earth. It is a compelling vision of an End Times harvest of souls
that promises to bring in the church from all nations before Christ returns. This message is needed by every mission-minded
Christian. Like so many of Brother Joyner’s other visionary works, they bring
us to fresh repentance and zeal for the work of the Lord.
The visions in this book are specific warnings that point out
the great need to prepare both ourselves and local congregations for what is
coming. Widely viewed by many as an End Times pastor and prophet, Rick Joyner pleads
for us to be like surfers who practice on small waves knowing that the “perfect
wave” is coming. He calls for us to be like a ship’s captain who drills his crew
every week to be fully prepared for whatever arises.
Rick Joyner believes we need to be working on a united
response, pulling together and being prepared at all times. The visions Pastor
Joyner shares in this book, one of several books he wrote on this subject, are
keeping many young workers up in prayer all night. As I mentor young leaders, I
am continually amazed at the immense amount of practical, Godly advice there is
in this book and the others that followed in this series.
If you want to add some urgency and quality to your outreach
ministry for the Lord, you can’t do any better than ordering and reading this
book.
